The next Sangha meeting is on September 12, 2010 from 5:30-7 pm.  There will be no Sangha on Sunday, September 5, 2010 due to the Parents' Appreciation Day at the Ten Thousand Buddhas Summit Monastery in Corydon, Indiana.  (Please see the Retreats & Events page for further information on this event.)

The Sangha is currently working with materials on Buddhism which are made available by the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT).  In June 2010, we started reviewing the FPMT series entitled Buddhism in a Nutshell
.  After we complete the Buddhism in a Nutshell course, we will work through the Discovering Buddhism modules.  In our meetings, we will listen to audio teachings of the courses, do guided and non-guided meditations, review video materials from the courses, and engage in dharma discussions.  At the end of each Discovering Buddhism module, we will have a Practice Day, consisting of a half day of intensive practice.  The Sangha also intends to offer Buddhism in a Nutshell, and, as soon as it's available, Meditation 101, on a regular basis, primarily for the benefit of our newer members and guests.

The Blooming Lotus Sangha meets each Sunday at 5:30-7 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Evansville.  All are welcome.
